Quick Mill's Carola single boiler home espresso machine is a great choice for espresso lovers. Carola is for those who want café-quality espresso at home but don't want steam! The machine is compact and easy to use. With Quick Mill, quality is never in doubt, and the Carola is no exception! It is perfect for newbies and those who want a machine that will last forever. The Quick Mill shell is made of stainless steel that is 2mm thick and weighs over 5 pounds. Carola is built with only the best materials, this machine should last a lifetime!
Carola Evo comes equipped with an 'Eco timer' and a built-in shot timer. The 'Eco timer' allows the machine to turn off the heating circuit when not being used for a set period of time. This timer ranges from a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 240 minutes.
A shot timer is also built into the PID. You'll be alerted to other variables that could be affecting the taste, thanks to the built-in shot timer. If, for instance, your shot time decreases or if your shots are weak, you will be alerted. If you aren't able to get everything out of freshly ground coffee, it might be because your grind is too coarse. When diagnosing problems with your espresso's flavor, this shot timer is extremely helpful. Above the drip tray is the PID with a built-in shot timer.
The Quick Mill Carola benefits from the stability and longevity of the E61 group. It has been the standard design of espresso machines for over fifty years. This is great, because it makes repairs much easier.
It takes less than a minute to heat up the Quick Mill Carola! Following your set-up and switching to position one on the three-position switch, your boiler will begin to fill. When the switch is set to the third position, Carola's powerful heating element will kick in, and you'll be ready to make your first coffee in minutes! You will never have to wait for your Carola to heat up because of the insulation surrounding the boiler and the PID.
It's impressive how quiet the Carola is while it fills the boiler from its reservoir at the back. Unlike most espresso machines, Ulka's 52-watt pump has a pulsar, making it more quiet. Additionally, a Klixon shuts the power off to the pump if it overheats.
By accessing the expansion valve under the removable cup warming tray, you can easily adjust the pump pressure. In order to increase or decrease pressure, simply insert the back flush disk, lift the cam lever, and rotate (with a flathead screw driver) clockwise or counterclockwise.
The temperature is more stable with a single 0.75-liter insulated T.E.A. coated boiler controlled by a PID controller. More consistent temperatures lead to better flavors every time. The Carola makes it easy to maintain consistency!
