So after quite a bit of shopping around, looking at various different espresso machines all over the web, decided on the Romantica. It was actually a bit of a risk, as I couldn't find very many reviews of the machine. However quickly fell in love with the look of this beast. It features an easy to use steam wand and what looks like a 52mm portafilter. Coffee extraction seems perfect so far, producing beautiful espresso with plenty of crema.
Simply put; I love this machine! I would also like to say thank you to all your staff.
The 38 ounce capacity boiler holds enough water for approximately 16 double espressos, so when serving a small group you will spend more time enjoying espresso and less time refilling the boiler. This La Pavoni coffee machine's chrome-plated brass boiler looks good and the plating helps protect it from corrosion. The exterior is lacquer coated for easy cleaning and scratch resistance. The Stainless steel heating element of this lever espresso machine will resist corrosion better than other, lesser heating elements and can be descaled safely. The color isn't quite as the picture shows. The wood handle accents give the La Pavoni Romantica Professional a classic look, adding to this lever espresso machine's Old World charm. The pressure in the boiler is directly related to the temperature of the water. This gauge will assist you in brewing at the best temperature. The internal thermostat automatically controls boiler temperature. An internal, resettable switch protects the machine and the heating element from overheating. Includes a standard frothing wand as well as an auto frothing wand. They are easily exchanged without tools. If all that weren't enough, to literally top off the classic look of the Romantica, a chromed eagle sits perched atop the boiler.
